Job Description

Design Interactive is looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong project management experience to join our team.

This role requires acute attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, ability to manage through ambiguity, extreme flexibility, excellent communication and coaching skills, and experience managing multiple cross functional software development initiatives. In this role you'll directly contribute to the success of delivering projects within an Agile framework while managing contractual budgets, resources, and milestones. Most initiatives are government SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Phase 1 and 2 contracts. There are also a few customer based project contracts.

You'll manage numerous projects in various software development stages. The technologies include delivering products on various platforms including XR, mobile, tablet, and web.

This position is based in Orlando with a hybrid in office and remote work schedule that continues to evolve. Relocation assistance is not available.


  • 5+ years overall Agile/Scrum Master Experience
  • 5+ years overall Project Management experience managing complex software products (including prototypes, enhancing existing apps, developing new apps)
  • 3+ years Budget Management - managing project budgets from $100K-$2M
  • 3+ years Resource Management (teams 7-15 people)
  • 3+ years managing contract-based projects and deliverables within an Agile framework
  • 3+ years managing multiple teams and projects
  • 3+ years' experience with project management tools identified (or similar tools)

What You'll Do

  • Timely execution of all Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Demos, and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Manages project budget details ($100K-$2M) including direct labor, equipment, travel, and subcontractors including performing monthly budget reconciliations in MS Project and Excel strong attention to the project's financial health
  • Forecasts Agile Team members who work on multiple simultaneous projects as well as negotiate shared resources in a constantly changing environment coordinates with Project Owners, Division Heads, Engineering Director, and other Leadership
  • Plan and manage on time delivery of all project contractual milestones and objectives defined in the Statement of Work
  • Provides metrics and status to senior management weekly status and monthly division operational reviews
  • Identifies problems, impediments, dependencies, and other team or project dysfunctions, and then facilitate quick resolution through negotiation or escalation
  • Lives and breathes the Agile mindset within an organization that is in the early Agile/Scrum adoption phase, balancing best practices with the organization's maturity
  • Assess the maturity of project teams and individuals - coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization

Main Tools You'll Use Frequently

  • MS Project building and maintaining project budgets including resource forecasts, labor rates, equipment, travel, and other project expenses
  • Excel experience and comfortable using numerous Pivot Table Reports for data analysis
  • SharePoint document repository, Project Metrics Database
  • Unanet project portfolio management, resource forecast, time tracking, contract repository
  • Azure DevOps User Stories, Sprint Boards, Agile Metrics/Dashboards
  • Standard MS Office Suite

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform or assist with any additional assignments as required.
  • Physical requirements involve performing general office activities.
