Summary

Design Interactive is looking for an experienced Test Analyst that lives and breathes quality. The ideal candidate will be a team player and have strong attention to detail, planning, organization, and proficiency with agile development software.

This position supports the ongoing development efforts associated with our AUGMED and IMITATE products. In this role you'll directly contribute to the success of delivering high quality applications within an Agile framework. Most initiatives are government SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Phase 1 and 2 contracts.

You'll manage numerous projects in various software development stages. The technologies include delivering products on various platforms including XR, mobile, tablet, and web.

This position is based in Orlando with a hybrid in office and remote work schedule that continues to evolve. Relocation assistance is not available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of experience in software testing for multiple projects/efforts
  • Proven success creating, executing, and updating test plans and test scripts
  • Ability to multitask, handle changing priorities, and work independently with minimal direction
  • Experience working with Agile development methods (i.e. Scrum)
  • Experience testing desktop, mobile, tablet, and enterprise web deployed applications
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (or equivalent tool)
  • Experience with Test Automation preferred
  • Experience testing in Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality preferred

What You'll Do

  • Lead and participate in functional software/hardware testing for development efforts of all sizes and complexity utilizing various development platforms
  • Use industry knowledge, business systems knowledge and previous testing experience to independently execute testing against both proprietary and third-party applications to identify differences between the business user requirements and the system being tested
  • Use software quality principals to review and analyze User Stories, architectural overviews, and other proposed system specifications to ensure requirements are complete, accurate and testable
  • Document traceability of test cases to requirements
  • Design and build efficient and reusable test cases and test scenarios for functional, regression and performance testing, using automated and/or manual scripts, as appropriate
  • Documents, reproduces, and retests defects
  • Generate test reports, including testing results and product stability assessments, and provide recommendations concerning the release of the product
  • Create and maintain test environments in collaboration with analysts, developers, and release engineer
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with business/product owners, software developers, and analysts in creating acceptance criteria as part of the requirements gathering sessions
  • Support release implementation and production verification activities
  • Controls and manages own daily test activities
  • Assess the maturity of project teams and individuals - coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization

Tools You'll Use Frequently

  • MS Project building and maintaining project budgets including resource forecasts, labor rates, equipment, travel, and other project expenses
  • Excel experience and comfortable using numerous Pivot Table Reports for data analysis
  • SharePoint document repository, Project Metrics Database
  • Unanet project portfolio management, resource forecast, time tracking, contract repository
  • Azure DevOps User Stories, Sprint Boards, Agile Metrics/Dashboards
  • Standard MS Office Suite
